I have had a lot of these in my time but they are normally 4 3/4 inches closed. You can imagine what I thought when I walked into a local pawn shop and saw this 8 1/2 inch giant laying on top of a bunch of old junk knives. It is marked with a “Y” in a circle stainless on the tang. The back edge has been engraved Yoko Suka Japan 1954 – 1955. The blade appears unused and has what appears to be a hamon or temper line on the blade edge. I think it is a soldier bring back knife. I have pictured it beside a Schrade 15OT so you can see the size.
